It started with a quest

A quest to find plant-based foods both rich in taste and protein, that were also wholesome and natural for us and the planet.

As a flexitarian with a mostly plant-based diet, I first turned to the meat analogs. They were good, but I didn't feel good. Then I turned to the natural veggie burgers. They weren't as flavorful, but they were good for me.

Drawing on my culinary memories of flavors growing up in 10 different countries, I began the journey to leverage the world’s pulses, spices, and flavors to create nutritious, bean-centric dishes; pulses because they are one of the most sustainable sources of protein. I explored a diversity of partnerships, from chefs, sustainable packaging experts and nutritionists, to local growers.

Cool Beans Foods is my best effort to ally the best possible flavor with the best possible nutrition.
